iMac 17" is not in stock anywhere in european Apple Stores and other web shops. Ships after 3 days, it says. In Canada all iMacs ship after 3-5 days.:cool:

Has anybody noticed that the memory upgrade has become cheaper? And has anybody noticed that apple left out the SO-Dimm information? Do you guys think they just left it out on the website, and will there be the SO-dimms in there as we are used too, or could they have changed to normal memory?

That's a heck of a decision! I'd sell it back though. If he built that car, there's a huge bond he's now missing. There's always a mint E30 M3 out there somewhere. ;)
Yup. I will not find a buyer that has more invested into a car than the one who did the majority of the restoration/ engine+suspension swap. Damn, I've only had the car for 6 days, and he called again today to make another hard offer. I have to put my thinking cap on, but honestly I am already tired of searching for a good DD/ AutoX car to buy. Pics to come of another car should something happen:eek: LOL.

TBWA really need to step up their game. Lack of a tangible concept ("ooh it's all about the experience") and a truly awful execution especially in such a redux form. Not to mention the badly chosen score and VO.
If you're going to make something as utterly bland and pretentious as this ad is, then at least do it on a grand scale for the sake of audience recall (Chanel 'film' with Nicole Kidman the most vomit-inducing example of this type).

I have a 3G and a 3G[s]. I also tried another variant of the keyboard and love the bigger keys and click of them. Feels really sturdy, good build quality, and it will work for a Ps3 keyboard if I'd ever need one.
Also a quick edit the other variant keyboard was back lit I don't know if the one you listed is.

A 6800m would be a downgrade. Keep in mind the current imac with the 5750 is actually a 5850m. 6850m is a downgrade from a 5850m, though only slightly. There are only two cards they could use that are upgrades over the current one and that's the 6950m and the 6970m.
I would also hope for the 3.4ghz i7-2600 sandy bridge processor.

I mean absolutely no disrespect in any of my arguments...Same hear. I just find it interesting that you seem to be ignoring the fact that 1 year ago you were willing to pay an approximately $100 markup for SWOP certification, yet you find it completely reasonable for Apple to essentially be charging $300 for it today? I'm about the biggest fan of Apple of anyone but their prices are out of touch on their 20" displays.

Hmm... the Mini still has no Core 2 Duo? That does not sound too promising for MacBook (Pro) updates... unless Apple only wants to use the Core 2 Duo for the high end laptops (MacBook Pro) of course... Or are they waiting untill Leopard has been released?
We'll see it soon in the macbook pro, I'd guess the MB will be later on.

Yes I can, it took me only a weekend to learn.
Overall, it's far more enjoyable to drive stick as opposed to an auto.

23" Imac is a great size. Add HD resolution then that's great.
I would love to see dual display support. But I highly doubt they will allow it. Apple wants to make sure there is a distinction between their consumer and pro line. It would be cool to have the Imac 23" with a 23" Cinema display next to it.

Does anyone know about a case with an LED flash or something of the like? Doesn't even need to actually be a case, it could be some sort of add-on. I try and I try but I can't find one... Anyone with info please reply!

Price cuts across the board for Macs. Mini starts at $399 to compete with low cost wintel machines. 24" iMac @$1499. 17"MacBook @$2199. I think iMacs will go quad core except the $699 model, MacPros will be in 2 configs at 8 core, and 1 config at 16 core for $2499. Ship date for 10.5. Early preview of unnamed next generation OS due in early 2009. New iLife and iWork of course. No iPhone or updated iPods.
Also a 10.5" (1152x768) ultraportable 2.5lb MacBookMini.

That's not the correct answer? Lol, how much longer are you going to waste my time for? DirectX in it of itself is not related to OpenCL. They are once again, two separate entities. Support for OpenCL 1.0 means support for OpenCL 1.1. DirectCompute was introduced in DX11 but can be used on DX10 hardware.

Don't respond until you give me an example of your OpenCL workflow. You seem to love AMD's CPU's but likely have never used one seeing as you have said Windows doesn't cut it and Linux "doesn't have enough commercial applications".

I retract my previous statement; the current build seems just as bad as the last and that's on the aforementioned 8GB toting i7 MBP. Even with Flash disabled and harmful scripts blocked, it's a hog capable of eating a combined 3GB or more on its own; the split processes in Activity Monitor just make it look nicer.
Unrelated: does anyone else have a problem keeping their Google Calendars synced in iCal? I hop in and it shows me the local calendars, but I end up having to go into settings and manually recheck my Delegates to get the server-side calendars to trickle back down.
OK but I don't care how much memory Safari 5.1 uses, that's why I load up my MBP with RAM.
So does Safari feel fast? Is it stable? :eek:

What was the checkout like? Did you have to go through their checkout? I'm always suspicious of those places, and am concerned that they're using unsecured special checkouts and/or are stealing identities. And I'm not usually a suspicious person.

Very nice! My 2006 iMac would like to be replaced.
From what I've seen the current iMacs would be fine for me but I've been holding off because I think it's daft buying a Mac so late into it's cycle. Just give us some better video card options and I'm set.
