I'll dig for the rubber feet and smaller pieces.

send me an offer for the batteries and i'll let you know. It depends where I have to ship them to, but i'm not really sure what these go for now :)

Less than perfect means "in fact uncomfortable" or "almost perfect" ?
And i'm worrying about my music collection (albums and artists got named folders, subfolders, without correct IDtags) can i just use it bypass itunes, don't wasting my time on writing tags .... Is there normal audioplayer, that can eat my folders of music ?
Can you tell me please about Web Flash content situation ? i heard that it seriously load processor, main troubles with flash videos, is it true ? Or exaggerated rumors ?

iTunes can read all of those folders of music just fine, just tell it not to manage your library or copy your stuff around, and itll probably do fine. You can also ofc choose to play all of your audio and video in Quicktime X, which is still there on a Mac, and still useful. But iTunes for Mac is what Windows Media Player is for Windows. You can also use VLC on the Mac to play files QuickTime cant handle.

Flash is just fine on the Mac, the only times you hear about problems are from people with PowerPC Macs, and the high CPU load has decreased dramatically with the latest upgrades from Adobe. As an example, my 5 year old very first gen Intel iMac (You know, the 1.83 Core Duo), running a Flash Video, as well as several instances of this forum with Flash Ads, my CPU is currently at 35%, and thats with iTunes, Mail, iCal, Messenger, Skype open as well.

No, it looks very awesome. Since there are no movies at 1440p there is no comparison though.

And your point is? Also: Never herd of this guy.

In 90% of what we say, does it have any point to it? You say, "Hello." What's the Point? You already know that you know them, and they know that you know them; therefore is there any point in saying hello, if you can just smile, showing you've acknowledged them. Also, the- ......OK, I won't go off on a rant.

    ...
When you make a mistake don't get down about it - laugh it off, it'll "lengthen our own life"; however, if you laugh at a person who made a mistake, you'll make them get down about it, therefore, "shortening their's." It also may be referring to suicide, but I haven't read the context - Hellhammer, Herdfan: if you feel you're about to commit suicide, DON'T listen to Adele. :)

Basically, don't laugh at other people's mistakes; both of them were innocent mistakes - there's no need to point them out - they know what they did, even if it's subconscious - we know what they mean.

How long is a piece of string?

The Mini with adequate RAM will run all of those programs and is good value for the money if you already have a good monitor.

Is it going to be fast enough for your particular working environment? We can't tell.

Are you sure your computer isn't saying "Could not load MySpace, Reason: It's for 13 year old losers."? ;)

    I'm sorry, I can't stand that site.

Myspace is a very very powerful promotional tool for bands. My own band uses it, and I frequently use it to find new music to listen to.

There is more to myspace then 13 year old girls dressing up like sluts and demanding comments.

What operating system and browser are you using?

The Apple symbols that you're able to see are just GIF images (one of the smilies provided by this message board is an Apple logo.) You can see this one (:apple:), because it's just an image. But you can only see this one () if you have the necessary fonts installed, which all iOS devices and Macs should.

I'm running Leopard on my MDD using Firefox. My windows pc doesn't display it either, and it doesn't display if I switch to 9.2 on my MDD either.

The official TRIM support is already in Snow Leopard builds for the new Macbook Pros with SSDs and it's in Lion as well. The official support is only for the Apple's SSDs, no TRIM support for third party SSDs. There is a way to enable it for any SSD that supports TRIM, but it is a hack. Here's the thread: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1125400

Apple are usually conservative about their SSDs, they don't go for the top of the line SSDs. So, it is normal to see conservative speed from Apple's SSDs.

TRIM enabler is a hack, and some people have reported that their read/write speeds have dropped significantly after installing it on their macs. I'm worried that it even does the job, but I am guessing it just changes the kernel so that instead of saying 'No' it says 'Yes' under TRIM support in SERIAL-ATA.

I only had a few minutes this morning to look at this but I believe the main problem is your not calling the "mail" command. You have this line but it's not doing anything as it's just a variable...

    $success = mail($webMaster, $emailSubject, $body, $headers);

If you just use this it should work...

    mail($webMaster, $emailSubject, $body, $headers);

You may have other things to work out but this should send the email massage and you should be able to retrieve it at info@avenue19ni.com.

Hi thanks for looking at this, I tried what you said but Im still not able to receive the email, could there be a server setting or email setting that I need to enable?

    thanks

It probably didn't sell well--first it was bundled with Final Cut Pro, and then GarageBand was based on it.

I'm sure a future GarageBand 2 could fill Soundtrack's shoes, or they could just leave it as a component of Final Cut Pro. GB generally does MORE than soundtrack (software loops, etc.) But at present, Soundtrack DOES still have important features. Features for making... soundtracks :) Unlike GB, Soundtrack has a video track, complete with marker support, for composing music to fit the footage or animation.

Soundtrack is probably my favorite Apple app ever--although I could switch to GB just fine I'm sure.

Also, Soundtrack comes with many more loops than GB--and they're not software loops, they're all real recordings. A great collection. Do the GB Jam Packs include all of them? I've always assumed there was SOME overlap at least.

(And vice versa... if I have Soundtrack, how much would I gain by getting the Jam Packs? After all, the Soundtrack loops I already have should work fine in GarageBand--so I already have a Jam Pack of sorts.)

I'm a sucker for a good sunset shot, and I like the first here quit a bit. The colors and textures in the sky give it a good feel. It's a pity the sun is on the centerline, though. I tends to capture the eye because it is the brightest area of the photo. If it was a little off center I might like it even more.

The photo of the Cheetahs has a lot of potential. I like where they are placed in the frame, and the direction of their heads is a nice contrast to the flow of their bodies. Kind of moves right then left with their vision. I would like the colors of the grass to be a bit deeper. The exposure is a bit light for the shadows and that lets the sunlit area in the background go too bright.

The other two are nice vacation pics, but they don't stir me visually.

    Dale

I agree with Dale on the cheetah photo. Try turning down the exposure and the greens should turn darker. Months ago when I first started utilizing this site (I, too, am new to this expanded hobby), Dale made the same suggestion on a forest picture I submitted and it made the world of difference. Now I look to set my exposure a minus 2/3's whenever I encounter greenery and it has worked out just fine. Welcome aboard, there is some serious talent as contributors to this site and plenty to learn!:)

But if I was on the same network as you, you very well might show up in the finder side bar account name and all. For people who file sharing is enabled this is a huge flaw.

Why do you think that's such a huge bug? Do you know the account name on my computer? I don't know yours, either. Not only that, you would have to share your computer's files (something you have to do yourself) then open port 548 for the world to see through your router.

It seems you're right! I tried from a friend's computer and it works fine...

I wonder why some routers block this kind of connection...Do you know what field should I check to see if there's a way to allow this?

Well, as I mentioned, I plan to get a machine of my own soon -- either a friend's iBook, or one of the PowerMac G4s (they're quite a good deal now). So looks like I won't have problems with Panther :). However, I asked a Mac reseller today whether I have to fork out the full price for Panther if I buy a new G4 now. They said "probably yes", because they are not aware of any rebates yet :(.
